Millions of animal mummies have been discovered all over Egypt. British archaeologists have been among the leading excavators and interpreters of these intriguing finds. This free study day will explore the collection, excavation and acquisition of animal mummies now in UK museum collections.

Speakers include Prof. Paul Nicholson (Cardiff), Dr Chris Naunton (Egypt Exploration Society) and Dr Ashley Cooke (Liverpool Museums), Dr Lidija McKnight & Dr Stephanie Atherton-Woolham (University of Manchester), Dr Campbell Price (Manchester Museum)
